The Ridge

The Ridge takes its name from its elevated position on a gentle hill, surrounded by the sea and shaped by the distinctive Cretan landscape. The architecture is conceived as a series of low, linear volumes that follow the natural contours of the site, allowing the buildings to sit quietly within the terrain. Stone walls and planted roofs reinforce this connection, while large openings frame views of the surrounding landscape and sea. Covered terraces extend the living spaces outdoors, creating shaded areas for gathering and relaxation. A restrained palette of local stone, warm wood and natural textures draws from the traditional Cretan architectural character, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. The result is a calm, tranquil retreat where architecture, landscape and sea remain closely connected.
